Guidelines for visitors

Visitor Check-In Process

• Reception Check-In: All people, including employees and clients that enter the office, must sign in at the reception. It helps to know who is in the building and is particularly very helpful in directing the visitors to the correct offices or rooms.
• Visitor Passes: Visitors are required to be issued with a visitor tag which they should wear at all times.
• Patient Room Limits: We shall restrict the number of individuals allowed to accompany patients in the shared or restricted wards.

Health and Safety Precautions

• Symptom Check: Visitors who exhibit flu like symptoms including fever, cough, or cold are humbly requested not to visit. This serves to help increase safety to our patients.
• Hand Hygiene: All visitor should wash their hands or use hand rub before going into a patients’ room. The hand sanitizers are provided throughout the clinic.
• Mask Policy: In compliance with today’s health considerations, people may be urged to wear face masks whenever they are within clinic premises.

Compliance with Patient’s Privacy and Dignity

• Noise Levels: We require our visitors to maintain low tones for fear of interrupting patients
• Personal Items and Food: People should not carry foodstuff or any other personal items for the patients without the doctor’s permission.
• Photography: Photography and taking of movies inside the clinic is discouraged.

Length of Visit

• Short Visits Recommended: Long visits can at times be tiring for the patients. We suggest that visits should be constrained closely so that the patients can have a chance to lie down in between friends and family visits.
• Leaving and Returning: Guests are free to take a rest in areas like the lounge or cafeteria and so on.

Visitor risk assessment

• Children as Visitors: Children below certain age are not allowed in patient care areas in order to ensure that there is limited movement about the areas and less noise is created.
• International Visitors: If a visitor is coming from another country, we offer information from our patient support services on available lodgings close to the facility, means of transport within the area, and any essential health requirements for the visit.
